About

World Tree Tutoring has existed since 2020.

We service New York and New Jersey.

Founder and lead tutor, Jeff Ventola, began this organization to help kids struggling with virtual learning during the pandemic, but we have gone on to serve several communities in a wider capacity.

We offer individualized help and instruction for all grade levels particularly in Math and ELA, but we have also helped students struggling in science and social studies or history. We have also helped many high school students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. We do it all!

We support students from elementary school all the way through college, utilizing different learning theories and strategies to engage even the most reluctant learners.

Services

Elementary and Middle School Tutoring

During these crucial developmental years, it is necessary for students to become proficient in their reading, math, and social-emotional skills. Children will be expected to decode texts and develop reading comprehension and fluency. We utilize phonics and the science of reading to support their development in literacy. Similarly, children are building quantitative understanding through skills like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. They will learn about fractions and decimals, and how to solve equations. We aim to help your child develop mastery over these skills so they can be independent learners.

High School

Tutoring

Students are expected to have mastered several sets of academic skills, and they will be pushed to apply these independently while incorporating new one such as efficient technology use, digital literacy, and extended research. It is at this stage that many students may struggle if previous skills are not internalized. We can help through remedial practice and instruction or simple guidance through a difficult concept.

Test Prep - SAT, ACT, GRE

We offer guidance in both choosing which standardized test(s) a student should take and preparing them for that test. The SAT and ACT are excellent ways for a high-achieving student to show that they are prepared to excel at a college of their choosing. Especially when applying to competitive schools, these scores can be crucial. A tutor can help them establish a preparation schedule, review material, and teach test-taking strateies.

College

Tutoring

Young adults pursue a rigiorous and specialized course of study in college. However, each class can be expensive, and their transcripts will be evaluated for many job opportunities. For these reasons, college students may require a tutor to help them persist through a difficult required class.
